CMP Indoor Non-Sanctioned Match

Join us for a fun, non-sanctioned indoor airgun match at Rockdale Rod & Gun Club in Mt. Upton, NY on February 1, 2026. Relays start at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, and 12:00 PM. Cost is $2 per relay, and pre-registration is required.Test your skills, earn high-fives, and enjoy a day of friendly competition! Clean-Up Day

Join us for clean-up day at the club as we work together to keep our grounds and wildlife areas clean and healthy. Volunteers of all ages are welcome—bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and help make a real difference in just a few hours. Let’s take pride in our club and the outdoors we enjoy!

Youth 4-H Shooting Sports

This hands-on program gives young participants the opportunity to learn responsible firearm and archery practices under the guidance of certified instructors in a fun, supportive environment. Youth will build confidence, focus, and teamwork while developing marksmanship skills and a lifelong appreciation for outdoor traditions.

Indoor 900/1800 Championship Match

Conducted Between 1/1/2026 - 3/31/2026

Join us for a fun and competitive NYSRPA shoot on Saturday, February 21st. This event will feature two relays at 9:00am and 1:00pm and is open to Rockdale and Sidney shooters first.Shooters can choose between the 900 (.22 caliber only) or the 1800 (.22 caliber and centerfire), with discounted rates available for youth participants. Lunch is included, making it a full day of shooting, food, and great company.See the flyer for full details and match information.

Annual Youth Day - Youth Trap Shoot

Join us for the Annual Youth Day & Youth Trap Shoot at Rockdale Rod & Gun Club on February 28th from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. This free, family-friendly event is open to youth ages 18 and under and is co-sponsored by the Adirondack/Catskills Sables Chapter of Safari Club International.

Enjoy youth trap shooting and hands-on activities including .22 target shooting, archery, air guns, laser shot, black powder, and outdoor education—all safely supervised. Equipment, limited ammo, targets, lunch, and door prizes (including a youth firearm) are provided.

Keep in Mind...

  • Work days are scheduled as needed
  • Pistol Teams matches are Friday nights (Oct–Apr)
  • Sporter Rifle League is on Thursday nights (Sept–Feb)
  • .22 Bench Rest is on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday (May–Sept)
  • Steel Challenge in on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:00pm (Starting May - Sept)
  • Outdoor Bullseye Pistol is on Thursday nights at 4:00pm (May–Sept)
  • Senior Citizens meet is on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday, 11:00am– 3:00pm (Apr–Nov)
  • The BG Claycats Youth Trap League runs on the last week of March on Sundays & Tuesdays (9 weeks)
  • Membership dues are due October 1st
  • Scheduled Events are subject to change
